Dec 2005 - Fare Increase & New Tariff Numbering for Brisbane Taxi District
As a result of the Transport Department’s introduction of the late night $2.00 surcharge there will be changes to how meter tariffs are numbered, once meters have been changed. Please note how you should then operate your meter:-

| Standard Taxis will have 6 tariffs |
| Tariff 1 |
7am to 7pm - Mon to Fri |
| Tariff 2 |
7pm to Midnight + 5am to 7am - Mon to Sun including Public Holidays |
Tariff 3
|
Midnight to 5am - Mon to Sun except Anzac Day |
| Tariff 4 (Share Ride) |
7am to 7pm - Mon to Fri |
| Tariff 5 (Share Ride) |
7pm to Midnight + 5am to 7am - Mon to Sun including Public Holidays |
| Tariff 6 (Share Ride) |
Midnight to 5am - Mon to Sun except Anzac Day

| Maxi Cabs (non wheelchair work), People Movers and Business Class – Meter + $11 - will have 9 Tariffs |
| Tariff 7 |
7am to 7pm - Mon to Fri |
| Tariff 8 |
7pm to Midnight + 5am to 7am - Mon to Sun including Public Holidays |
| Tariff 9 |
Midnight to 5am - Mon to Sun except Anzac Day

| Note: These extra Tariffs (7, 8, & 9) will only apply for BOOKED Business Class and BOOKED High Occupancy work (six or more passengers) |
