Apr/May 2005 - Our Department of Veterans’ Affairs Customers and their Dependants
The service and sacrifice of the men and women who served Australia and its Allies in wars, conflicts and peace operations are acknowledged and commemorated.
The Department of Veterans’ Affairs exists to serve members of Australia’s Defence Force communities, war widows, widowers and dependants through programs of care, compensation, commemoration and defence support services.
These eligible persons have access to health and other care services that promote and maintain self sufficiency, well being and quality of life.
Black & White Cabs is proud to support our veteran community and we do this in a number of ways. Through our contract with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs we have given a commitment to provide a timely, helpful and courteous taxi service to their beneficiaries.
A great many of the veterans are now elderly and deserve our respect and care not only as Australians who served in defence of our nation but also as senior members of our community.
This is an important and vital part of Black & White Cabs’ business and it is imperative that all drivers understand that excellence in service to these customers dignifies both yourself and the company and strengthens your continuing livelihood by helping to maintain our links with DVA.
