Dec 2005 - Accident Watch Task Force has made a difference
The Taxi Council of Queensland has proudly announced that following several years of hard work in trying to reduce CTP premiums, the benefits are now being realised. QBE Insurance has announced, for the first time, a premium lower than the maximum permitted.
For many years all CTP insurers have chosen to set Class Three premiums at the maximum level; QBE for the next three months at least, will be charging $50.00 less for taxi registration. In addition to the lower premium taxi operators will also receive a $50.00 gift voucher from TI(A)IB for each vehicle transferred to QBE. For those who chose to pay on a six-monthly basis, a reduction of $25.00 will be passed on and as well a $25.00 gift voucher will be received.
To pay the lower premium be sure you complete a CTP Insurance Nomination Notice – one will be sent with Operator’s Accounts.
