Major Advertising Campaign
A major advertising campaign, funded by the Operators Group Advertising Levy, has been running on Brisbane radio stations since the end of January.
The campaign is being heard on NOVA, 97.3FM, 4BC, 4KQ, and 4BH and promotes the ecab brand which incorporates the three ways to order a taxi - by phone, on line, and by SMS on a mobile phone.
To coincide with the campaign, a drivers' bulletin has been distributed to all bases which explains the ecab concept and encourages drivers to try the system for themselves so they can promote the ecab product to their passengers. In case you missed it, the drivers' bulletin has been reproduced on page 4 of the current IBW magazine.
Black & White Cabs General Manager, John Tighe, says the radio campaign will continue through April. "This is a significant investment and the operators group is to be congratulated for its vision in getting behind the ecab brand in this way," he said. "Black & White Cabs embraces the use of technology to make the ordering process for the passenger as simple as possible. In time, ecab will revolutionise the way taxis are ordered."
"I encourage all drivers to familiarise themselves with the ecab product and to promote its use to their passengers. This is leading edge technology that has benefits for everyone." He said.
