| IBW Issue 98 - ATE Back In Brisbane |
Brisbane is gearing up for one of the biggest events of the year. And we're not talking about Game One of the State of Origin series. We?re talking about the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE).
The Australian Tourism Exchange, which will be held in Brisbane from 26 May to 1 June 2007, is Australia's premier tourism event and the largest international travel trade show in the southern hemisphere. As the most important event in Australia's annual tourism calendar, ATE is big news. The event is expected to deliver a $10million boost to the Queensland economy and as host city, Brisbane is already gearing up for an influx of more than 2,000 leading tourism industry representatives, backed up by a strong media contingent of international and domestic journalists.
Needless to say, this is a great opportunity to showcase the city - to show the world and the rest of Australia that Brisbane is a vibrant, dynamic destination. A city where the smiles are bright and the welcomes are warm. And the best part? Everyone in the community, from the Black & White cab driver to the restaurant waiter to the Queen Street Mall shop assistant , can play a part in creating the Brisbane ATE experience.
ATE is a time to be proud of our city and all that it has to offer. It's time to turn it on!
